I want to confirm for everyone that the Sisters new “book” will be coming out sometime this year (most likely before the Necron release). There is more– SoB will be White Dwarf only release stretched over two issues, with a online PDF by the end of the year. I had reported this possibility (in a cryptic matter before) on BoLS, so this is a confirmation of said rumor. Cruddace will be the author for PDF as well. No word on new sculpts, but my bet is on only resin recast of existing models. As for the rules I have nothing to report as of yet, but look for at least two ecclesiastical characters from the fluff/past to appear in the new dex.

Kinda Lame, but there ya go.

Need I remind everyone of the last time GW did a White Dwarf release of a codex, and how awful it was?

true but how long after did GW make it right?
Lion El’ Johnson – This one is an oldie but a goodie. Turns out he was a poet from the Victorian era who wrote a poem called ‘The Dark Angel’. He also was rumored to have quite the secret for those times.

What was the last white dwarf codex they did? I never realized that GW did that.

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

And it was bad. . .oh so bad. The army had only Space Marine special rules (ATSKNF and Combat Squads), no army-specific wargear (except for that on special characters), and units could only be taken in squads of five or ten. You could field Assault Marines as Troops, but they were ridiculously expensive, and there was an Elite slot for Veteran Assault Marines, but then the regular SM codex came out with Vanguard Veterans and mocked the already lame BA "Codex".

Hopefully they've learned from their mistake. On the bright side, they did have great army lists printed in WD years ago. Sure, they were variant lists (IG Regiments and SM Chapters mostly), but they were diverse and interesting. Maybe they'll do a good job with it.

And as bad as it was, Kilean won Ard Boys that year with it. And he had some very skilled opponents. They were still marines, and they still had lots of dreads.
