Monthly Painting Challenge: PAINT or DIE!!! November.

Postby Dez » Mon Nov 01, 2010 8:08 pm

Well, not really die. This here is meant to be motivational. Post a unit or model that you plan on getting done for this month. When you're finished, just post a picture of the model in the Completed Gallery with a link. I figure this will be a great way to fill up that gallery, while getting your own armies done!

Post your WIP pics each Sunday, for critique and feedback. That will help keep the ball rolling, so that nobody waits until the 28th of the month

What aims do the Orks have? What is the point of a tornado?

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

OK, I'm giving myself a week to finish up 2 1/2 ork vehicles. Also, I will be working on some terrain pieces. I have yet to determine exactly what they will be. I might just make it up as I go. We'll see.

OK, I have finished building the three ork vehicles. I am now the proud owner of one completed battlewagon. It's not my best, it's not my worst, but it'll work as a battlewagon. My playable Ork army is now 1,015 points. I finished building two Ork trukks. Both have been spray painted. They need some detail painting. That will get done as a secondary project in between making terrain peices.

While I did not start them in November, finished them in November. I completed a Bretonnian lord, Paladin, Standard bearer, and the Black Knight (alright, I know it is the Green Knight but mine is black). I am starting a Paladin on a Pegasus and hope to play my first game with them shortly. I will post pictures when I figure out how :D .

I should've stuck more closely to this, it probably would've helped. ;)

Longbeards are very nearly done; need touch ups and washes (I bought some Devlan mud to try for my first time). In addition I started painting a Force Commander in TDA with twin LCs: completely for fluff, and the fact that I love the model. Both should be done come Dec 1.

Sunday update, finished my 2 rat ogres and did some work on mortar as well, kinne asked me to do some trees for the upcoming tourny so i am going to add those to my threat, i got one base of trees made today, need to put sand on them and paint them up.

here are the IOB rat ogres. they were pretty fun to paint but i feel like i rushed some parts. i did some simple conversions to make them fit in with my other rat ogres, i replaced their heads and did some green stuff fur work as well.
