Omega Marines

Postby JeffJ » Sat Jun 13, 2015 8:53 pm

Here's my space marine chapter. I made it when the 5th edition codex came out (which was also the last time I played 40k).

Tactical Marines:
-Since most specific space marine armies (Blood Angles, Black Templars, etc.) are close combat specialists I wanted to make mine look more like a shooting chapter, so every marine is converted to have a scope, bolt pistol in holster, and extra ammo packs.

Devastators:
-I think it's pretty cool that the kneeling conversion I made for one of the rocket guys is a similar pose to the new missile launcher marine in the kit that just came out.

Special Weapons:

Sergeants:

Sternguard Veterans:
-Before GW made a kit for these models I had to convert them from regular space marines and various veteran bits. The special ammo bolters were made using the ammo hoppers from the Rhino's storm bolter and trimmed down so it would fit under a normal bolter.

Scouts:

Drop Pods:

Land Raiders:

Terminators:

Dreadnought & Vindicator:

Special Characters:
-I don't know if you can still do this in the newest edition but since in 5th you could use "counts as" I made a few characters to proxy as Lysander, Shrike, and Pedro Kantor.

Thanks for looking. :)

Haha yeah, when my brothers and I were kids and just got into the hobby we had this green table that was the exact same color as Dark Angles (now Caliban) green, so we painted all our models bases to match. I keep it up because the nostalgia effect is just too good. :)

It's funny, my Black Templars are all based the same, goblin green bases with green flock. It's the way you did it in the 90's, it's what all the painting guides suggested.

Still looks good but a little dated.
