I have always seen the fact that roleplaying books were more expensive as an acceptable thing because of the hours upon hours of use you can get out of them.

But $60.00??? holy crap. they seem to be creeping higher and higher.

I'll put some weight behind the 40k RPG books, they are actually worth the $60. The background is excellent, the art work is amazing, and the game is usually well balanced. The book is put together well, not like some of the current D&D books, which are printed on paper that smudges easily.

My only complaint with the 40K RPG's is there are WAY too many little traits you can get and it just gets confusing. Always encourage players to buy wounds and basic skills (like search, knowledge skills, etc), and buy only a minimum of traits.

But the problem doesn't just stop with the players. Looking at the various opponents, they all usualy have a number of traits and you have to go paging through the book to figure out what they all do.
