New orc release in April

Postby Inquisitor Wall » Tue Apr 06, 2010 4:51 pm

So Avatars of War is in the process of releasing their first model by their new sculptor. The orc looks pretty sweet, and would make a good savage orc (if they still exist). Im curious to see its other options as the picture looks like there is a helmet option.Image

Holy Crap.

I don't even care if I can use it, I think I just NEED to paint it.

I love the Choppa!

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

I... I actually don't care for it. I dunno, something about it rubs me the wrong way.
This just goes to show: No matter how stupid and useless a weapon may look to you, some guy in Asia with too much time on his hands has figured out how to use it to kill five ninjas.

It's the downward arm. It's a couple of degrees to far back to look natural. The choppa and everything else is good. I like that it doesn't look like it will be a super sized orc.

Lion El’ Johnson – This one is an oldie but a goodie. Turns out he was a poet from the Victorian era who wrote a poem called ‘The Dark Angel’. He also was rumored to have quite the secret for those times.

that with the rumors of new boar boyz coming out just makes me want to start my feral army all the more that guy looks so savage its perfect! not a big fan of the weapons though but they are easy to switch, and i think your right about the arm, but it might also be the angle the pic was taken at. something i never really understood about ork models was that ugly top of the head pony tail, they have hair no where else on there bodies, and most of them are bald it just does not make sense to me owell atleast they are easy to cut off :).

To me, that seems like it is the first model they have put out a picture of fully painted.

That simply struck me as strange. I'd love to see the Greens, see if they look any different.

Kevin, where did you find that? I didn't see it anywhere on the main site, was it on the Spanish site?

The greens can be seen on their forum here:

*also check out the thread for the guy making a saurus sculpt (he is not a AoW employee though)

It is 8 pages of trial and error for what looks like could someday be an awesome model.

I received the picture in an email from their mailing list. Apparently when I ordered from them, I was put on a mailing list for new and upcoming models.
