Played my first game of the league today against Bill. We played 50 points. It was very surprising how similar the armies were. Both were focused on gun mages and ranged units. I went first and accomplished nothing. Bill proceeded to take out a gun Mage and did significant damage to a nomad, and kill my hero. Turn 2 I missed with most of my shooting, but ended up using Ashlynn's feat at the very end of the turn, realizing she was in a bad spot. Bills turn he took out a unit of gun mages, nearly killed a vanguard and inflicted significant damage on my other nomad. Turn 3, Ashlynn was able to sneak in a charge against Stryker and win the game.

I really didn't think I had a chance after the direction the game had started, but Ashlynn's defense really saved her from a turn 1-2 assassination. She is really going to be tough to get the hang of. With advance deployment she really ends up outpacing the rest of her army.

I played my second game last night against Shawn. 50 points he was using Cygnar.

Definitely one of the best games I've played of warmachine. Shawn ended up winning on turn 4 with a caster kill/getting control points. Stryker had 2 health left after a boosted damage roll resulted in a 4. It seemed very close, and could have gone either way right until the last turn.

Notes from the game: Ashlynn's feat is really good at getting friendly models out of combat, boomhowler's 4+ tough roll makes his unit really great at blocking charge lanes even if they are not doing a whole lot.

Finished up the Merc heavy jack. It is magnetized to the three options.

Only 6 more gun mages and ill have 50 points painted up. Hopefully they can be finished this weekend.

Finished the second unit of gun mages and UA except for the one guy who was hiding out in the unit of risen. He will have to wait a while I guess. 50 points completed except that Hun Mage and repainting a mule to fit the color scheme.
