Battle Reports

Post any BatReps here.

Remember -- a turn-by-turn is worth 1 league point, but adding pictures and/or fluff brings it to a 2-point participation.

Week 1 EXAMPLE (no points.... written as a 2-pointer))

Post by Bjorn » Wed Jun 19, 2019 2:49 pm

There might be a problem.

It is assured that the magisitratum is blind -- they are always ignorant of anything not directly connected to money. Their corruption and control over the medicae has led us to defending ourselves, and looking to seek help elsewhere. Their cold numbers will never offer us salvation.

So when those odd xenos landed south of the hab-blocks in a deserted section of this planet’s diseased lands, we could not rely upon the distant voices of Terra to soothe our worries. We decided that, in preparation for the Great Reaping, we would be calling on our bretheren and exorcising the invaders’ presence.

Our Harbinger wished to flex his mighty claws after years of silence. He emerged into the light for the first time, a shining god to guide us to salvation. They had set up camp in a neighborhood that we controlled -- the residents left at a single thought. We engaged them at dawn.

Game:
500 points Vs Tau 4x4

Deployment: tau went first

Turn 1:
TAU: tau battlesuit moved forward, fire warriors adapted their placements. No shooting (hidden deployment).
GSC: Alphus moved close to exploit sniper range, Chimera moved forward. Forgot to deploy mortar teams. Alphus hit the fireblade… and killed a drone. Chimera rolled forward aggressively, hit a bump, all shots went wide (HBolter 1,1,2, Multilaser 1,1,2, Stubber hit but did not wound). Brood Brothers on right rallied around the Patriarch and shifted forward.

Turn 2:
TAU: shooting
GSC: forgot again to deploy mortars. Patriarch got into range of the Broadside to Mind Control, had him shoot at his own… did very little. Purged a few more Tau.

(Remainder to come -- after all, this is just an example!)

Epilogue:

Our forces are lazy and inexperienced. They feel the awakening of the Harbinger’s mighty will in their veins. The Old Gods be praised, we will use this as a reminder to be ever-vigilant. Cthulhu F’thagtn!
